Below are some examples of the types of things we build. We wanted to give little description of each piece as each project tends to have a story and that is part of what makes each special.
Federal period inspired Petite Desk
Mahogany, Maple, Rosewood, Holly
Designed from a collection of elements from three classic federalist pieces to create a unique design. The Rosewood Cuffs on the legs are time consuming to do but worth the effort. There is a unique hidden drawer but don't tell anyone!
Window Case (AKA 'TV Stand')
Curly Maple, Birdseye Maple, Holly
Designed to fit in a deep window opening to provide a little storage space in a home office. About 12 inches tall, provides enough height to see a TV on top while working on laptop in front. You could use a milk crate to get the TV high enough but it wouldn't bring you the joy that this piece brings when you see it every day.
Barley Twist Coffee Table
Hard Maple, Paduak
This table was a bit of an experiment. I had a big, beautiful chunk of Paduak (the red top) and wanted to make that the focus of the piece but I was messing around with carving barley twist legs so decided to combine them. The twists are cool but next time will be done in something less forgiving than the Hard Maple.
Scotch Case
African Mahogany, Maple, Walnut
You buy one of your best buddies a fancy bottle of scotch every year but at some point you need to step it up. A hand crafted case is the answer. You need a fancy serpentine cigar drawer inside to make it pop. We put a LED disco light inside as well when the party needs a little extra something - It's a fine line between fun and tacky!
Baby Stool
Tiger Mahogany, Holly
My daughter had a stool when she was little that she would sit on and play with her toys. It was small and had been her grandmother's. A friend gave me this awesome wood and it happened that he and his wife were having their first child in a few months. So...Baby stool for little Grace. One good deed deserves another.
Fly Tying Caddy
Mahogany, Zebra wood, Holly
We named our shop after a fish so logical we do some Fly fishing stuff. You can buy a foam fly caddy to hold all your fly tying tools or you can step it up and get a inlayed mahogany version. Zebra wood makes super cool accents and you tie better flies if you keep your tools in this setup :)
